In a few weeks you can bid on James May’s 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 at the Bonhams Auction in Goodwood. While you might not have been tempted by Richard’s E36 M3, that has seen better days, purchasing a well cared for, classic 911 from Cpt. Slow could be a wise move.

May purchased the car in 2007 and has frequently referred to it as, “The best car he’s ever bought.” For the past four years it has been in the care of James’s father who thought himself too old for a “stockbroker’s car” and the 911 wasn’t well liked by May’s mother. I guess Cpt. Slow’s parents like their vehicles a bit more relaxed as well.

Bonhams estimates the car will sell between $44,000-$53,000.
